After a period of delays, technical issues, and radio silence, Google has finally confirmed the release dates for the Pixel 9a. The device will first launch in the US, Canada, and the UK on April 10.
Shortly after, the Pixel 9a will be available in Germany, Spain, Italy, Ireland, France, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Portugal, Switzerland, Poland, Czechia, Romania, Hungary, Slovenia, Slovakia, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, and Finland on April 14.
Finally, the phone will hit the markets in Australia, India, Singapore, Taiwan, and Malaysia on April 16. While Japan is also set to receive the device, Google has not yet confirmed an official launch date for the region.
The Pixel 9a was originally announced earlier this month with a starting price of $499, but no specific release timeline beyond an expected April launch. It was later revealed that Google encountered a component quality issue, leading to a delay in both the device’s launch and media reviews. Although the issue reportedly impacted only a small number of units, the company opted for a cautious approach before proceeding with the release.
With the confirmed availability dates now set, a comprehensive review of the Pixel 9a will be available closer to its official launch.
